One of my favorite blogs: WaiterRant

When I'm in the mood for some good old-fashioned e-escapism, I head over to WaiterRant. Written by a seminary-drop-out, long-time waiter, Waiter (gotta remain anonymous, right?) gives you an uncensored, cynical look at how restaurants really work, how entitled customers can get, and how crazy waiter life can be. I find myself laughing out loud and also cringing at the surgical precision he diagnoses human nature. Some people just know how to tell a great story, and this guy is one of them.

Being a waiter is really nothing like being a dad, right? Well, except for the managing of unreasonable demands, the juggling of multiple priorities, the constant dish-washing & serving, the childish/entitled adults, and the holding firm vs. being a floormat thing. Yeah, nothing at all. Regardless, just stop by and take in these great stories. And just hope you and your family don't ever "make it" into his blog.
