Latest Study on Vaccine Safety for Kids
A new study was published in Pediatrics that "adds to a mountain of evidence that a mercury-based preservative once used in many vaccines doesn't hurt children." While I have grown wary of "scientific" studies (have to follow the money), the data here seems to be pretty solid.

Re: Latest Study on Vaccine Safety for Kids
It's too soon to feel reassured. The Italian Thimerosal study compared children who'd received less with those who'd received more. That's like a smoking study comparing 2-pack-a-day smokers to 1-pack smokers. Where are the lucky children who received NO Thimerosal?
Out of 1,400+ children studied, only 1 had autism. The U.S. rate is anywhere from 1 in 150 to 1 in 58 in some states. For an informal critique of the study's limitations and the media's false conclusions, read "Feeding the Hungry Lie, Italian Style" by J.B. Handley.

To truly understand mercury toxicology, talk to a chemist, occupational physician or toxicologist. The CDC's epidemiological studies-for-hire never looked at children's lab tests and thus are irrelevant.

Good to know. This was a source of questions when we interviewed potential pediatricans. They all had opinions about it, but for the most part agreed that there was no conclusive scientific data that said Thurmasawl was to blame.
It's a moot point though, because vaccine makers have all but removed that perservative from the shots.
